Local Advocacy, Global Impact

With unrivaled access and credibility, AJC advocacy generates real results. Through a comprehensive advocacy program that engages diplomats, world opinion makers, political representatives, and ethnic and religious leaders, AJC advances Israel's pursuit of peace and security, safegaurds Jews worldwide, and promotes the human rights of vulnerable peoples. As a result, AJC can often influence policies and decisions before they get made.

World Leaders Initiative

AJC Boston meets with prime ministers, ambassadors, and other world leaders on an ongoing basis to advance concerns of the American Jewish community.

In the past year alone, AJC Boston has met with the Prime Minister of Bulgaria and the Moroccan, Egyptian, and Turkish ambassadors to the U.S. to highlight the need for courageous action to stop Iran's nuclear program; draw attention to the corruption of the human rights processes that resulted in documents like the Goldstone Report; and emphasize the need for an end to incitement and genuine support for a peaceful settlement between Israel and her neighbors.

Consular Advocacy & Education
AJC Boston is the only agency that engages the local diplomatic corps, representing over 60 nations around the world, to advocate support for a negotiated two-state solution to the Israel-Palestinian conflict and emphasize grave concern over the Iranian nuclear threat. AJC Boston also partners with consulates in the New England region to provide educational programming for the public.

AJC Boston Diplomats Seder
AJC Boston
celebrates the universal values of freedom, democracy, and human rights at its annual Diplomats Seder. A signature AJC event, the Diplomats Seder brings together members of the Boston diplomatic corps, interreligious and interethnic leaders, and hundreds of supporters of Israel for a journey through the Passover Seder and its themes of freedom and community building.

Community Diplomacy
AJC Boston advances a better understanding of the case for Israel by bringing together the Consul General of Israel to New England and the Boston Irish, Armenian, Italian, and Indian-American communities.

AJC Boston forges strong partnerships with our interreligious partners and advances our mutual goals of promoting human rights and democratic values through developing programs with NGO’s such as the American Islamic Congress (AIC).

AJC Boston also reaches out to the leadership of local Christian communities in an effort to effectively represent the concerns of the Jewish community about the growing Boycott, Sanction, or Divestment (BDS) movement.

Public Education
AJC Boston brings together experts in the field, international opinion-makers, and world leaders to inform our constituents and the greater Boston community of the critical global issues of our time.
