Who We Are

AJC Boston is an arm of AJC’s global effort to secure peace and security for Israel while advancing human rights and democratic values around the world.  For more than a century, AJC’s efforts have advanced freedom for Jews and other persecuted minorities while encouraging greater understanding between the Jewish people and neighbors around the world.  In Boston, we commit ourselves to this historic effort by advocating:

For Israel

Israel is the democratic homeland of the Jewish people. It is also one of the most vibrant democracies in the world and is constantly working to expand the horizons of freedom for all its citizens. AJC is dedicated to sustaining Israel as the Jewish homeland;, deplores continued efforts to demonize and delegitimize Israel; believes that the profound human rights deficit in the Middle East stands as one of the primary impediments to peaceful co-existence; and is committed to working to advance mutual respect, a necessary prerequisite to future peace and stability.

For Freedom

AJC has played an essential part in the historic effort to advance freedom for Jews and other minorities across the United States. It has also been deeply enmeshed in global initiatives to advance the human rights of vulnerable peoples around the world. This has included efforts to secure the right of the Jewish people to its homeland, Israel, as well as initiatives to secure the rights of Soviet Jews, Bosnian Muslims and victims of genocide in Darfur

 For Peace

AJC is committed to advancing a stable and secure peace between Israel, her Palestinian neighbors and all nations of the Middle East. Such a peace should be based upon a two state solution, resolution of all claims, an end to incitement and hatred, mutual recognition and full normalization and a shared commitment to bring an end to terrorism.
